In order to have free meals all parents must complete the lunch form.
The school meal program is a federally assisted meal program and provides nutritionally balanced meal program. We provide a meal as soon as they arrive in Immanuel and right after they finish their class for snack. When children
eat Immanuel school lunch, they are more likely to consume milk, meats, grains and vegetables compared to students who don't, including students who bring lunch from home. They also have higher nutrient
intakes — both at lunch and over the course of an entire day.
Immanuel School lunches are nutritious:
* Provide variety of foods from Food Pyramid and meet children's daily calorie needs.
* Provide children's daily needs for "problem nutrients" — protein, vitamins A and C, iron and calcium.
School will provide monthly menus. If your child(ren) has any allege reaction of any food, it is your
responsibility to prepare your own meal. Lunch or snack should not include any peanuts or peanut
products, please. No glass containers are allowed. The students who stay school extended hour
must bring extra snack. |
